i have always loved this chakli or murukkus APPLE RAITA
Yes as kids we love them very much but not now as its very challenging for the teeth, its either we break the murukku or be broken by the murukku. My dentist disallow me to eat any more fried ground nuts which faces the same challenge as biting the murukku. Our murukku in Malaysia is slightly harder.
Crispy & perfect!! Prathima Rao Prats Corner

I am craving for some murukku for tea Jay. Keeping track of your updates getting difficult:)coz by the time I have soaked in one the next one is ready and that too with step by step recipe. Lovely space here.   smithfield station menu
Hi, your murku pics have inspired me to try this recipe. I was reading your recipe step by step. Just wanted to double check, do u add butter at the end after adding water or do you add butter and then later knead with required water? Can't wait to try these. Thanks a lot.
Thanks for liking smithfield station menu rg. You have to add the butter first and mix well. Then sprinkle water little by little as required to make soft smooth dough. Give it a shot & enjoy crispy crunchy murukkus.
Hy Rg, May be the second batch could have gone dried up and lost its surface moisture. This can be avoided by keeping the dough covered with a damp cloth and if needed you can sprinkle few drops of water to the second batch of dough and giv a quick knead before making murukku.
Thank you so much for your precious
